I recently kitted out an Artificer for a campaign set in the Girls Frontline universe, which is... probably the most fun game I've ever been part of. It uses a homebrew 5e ruleset. It's been fun converting the Artificer spells and abilities into more modern technologies (like the Shield spell is a one-use device that procs reactive armour, Thunderwave is a sonic repulsion device worn by the user). Helps that the character (K11) is a mad scientist type, the DM even worked with me to implement a system where I can invent one-use devices to replicate higher level spells (with expensive costs, of course).
I've also been wanting to try out a grappler build on anything that would seem unconventional. Like a Wizard or Bard, since that sounds fun. I just like the idea of a wandering minstrel or magus... who also happens to have a career as a professional wrestler under their belt. With War Caster, Wrestle Wizard might even be a pretty strong character... for some reason, I can't see a wrestler as anything but a good alignment character.
I wonder if people on here would be interested in a game with strangers.

She's a homebrew werewolf human rogue. She wears a long cloak and wide brim hat, carrying around a carved wooden staff to disguise herself.
Inside the cloak is her normal thick leather armor, the inside of the cloak is lined with daggers and the staff has a ninjato sized blade hidden inside
only other sorcerers and people with high levels of stealth detection can tell she's a fake.
shes normally neutral and will do anything for gold
she serves no masters or lords, but the all mighty silver and gold

Nice Lamby.
What do your homebrew werewolf rules look like?

im pretty novice to dnd so excuse me if i make her too op or the such
because shes the daughter of a werewolf victim she can summon her wolf form on command, though twice a month under the full moons she loses that control, and under a red moon she loses all sanity and becomes like a typical werewolf
her racial is that by summoning her wolf form (which is like the typical werewolf, think wows worgen i suppose) her agility goes up, but her stealth goes down equally
she usually sneaks into a place and uses her wolf form to do the crime, so shes unrecognizable when shes back in her human form, though even in human form she still has a dog like scent that a good nose could pick up on
@varg stereotypes are hurtful

Seems like a more focused Shifter (or something similar to swapping between human and Tabaxi rules). I like it.
And I mean, nothing really beats the half-elf (well maybe the Yuan-Ti Pureblood). XD
So seems fine.

Going to be running a Tabaxi bard with noble background for some one shots (that might develop into a full campaign, DM is feeling things out).
Ash on the Snow is a young Tabaxi coming from an upbringing of power and privilege. Specifically her family is a well known as group of wealthy merchants, with many allies and connections, and counted amongst the leadership of her tribe. Ash could have lived a safe and luxurious life following in her families footsteps, but she had other plans.
Stricken by the wanderlust that effects many Tabaxi, Ash would rather explore all the wonders the greater world holds, make friends along the way, have fun, and indulge in her love of song and dance.
2 months ago Ash left her home to strike out on the road, eventually adopting a stage name "Chippy Whiskers" in her travels.
