Mmm, as a physio I can say muscular tension in one moment doesn't have any carryover to athletic performance, strength or anything of the like, but it sounds like you base your meaning of truth upon your subjective observations and conclusions drawn from them, so maybe I won't get in the way.

psychologically, and in other areas they probably do but if we talk about the sole aspect of recovery, which by definition is adaptation to the work placed on them, then no, as far as I'm aware of the literature it's best man, if you don't take the word of one doctor to be the truth I've done that mistake many times before, so wanted to make you aware of that look at places like google scholar, ncbi, pubmed etc for actual studies, and be aware of levels of evidence a single doctor's or scientist's words are the lowest and least trustworthy level

Well, if you take the subjective observation and subjective conclusions of them as higher value than scientific processes, then as I said, we don't have much to talk about and we best stop :p
