I was under the impression clash overrode any previous mechanics.

its how we've been playing. like even if youre defending, you still can deal damage with a clash

I have fought a long way, saving my ULT. Just so 413x to nullify its impact. The ULT can be used once. I find that incredibly dumb a clash nullifies it. It's just makes it more of a reason to still do 3 HP of damage. The clash system is only to create suspense.
