It is one of the most sobering experiences I've ever had watching a movie. Not a single man in the footage is alive today. It made me glad that when I was a 10 year old boy I got to meet a French WW1 soldier. I can remember when he said he moved to America because he knew something was up and WW2 was coming in the 1930s.
