Do any of you guys play instruments?

I actually play a bit of keyboard at home mostly for myself. However, I did take an Elementary Piano class at a community college for a semester years ago. I'm not very good but it's fun to feel around the keys just for the heck of it. As for favorite favorite Genre? I like VGM or I guess you could say Classical, or Classical rock, yeah? I'm a pretty big fan of Joe Hisaishi's compositions, and Noriyuki Iwadare in particular. Usually songs from studio ghibli, anime soundtracks, osts from the Lunar series. Fun fact: I was actually put in violin classes for a short while when I was 5, but I wasn't serious enough and it cost money to put me in classes to learn so I gave up. Later in middle school, I tried to take strings out of guilt, and I legit wanted to learn how to play the Violin at the time. But because I didn't know how to read notes the teacher didn't want to spend time to teach me and got he mad somehow cause I accidentally lied that I said I could read notes? Though, I don't even remember saying that I did, but I got so damn upset and just wanted to learn how to play the violin. So I ended up taking Choir as my elective in both middle and high school, and never got the chance to learn how to play the violin ever again.

My little brother grew up playing piano while I played violin up until middle school and I started bass around the same time. I poke around on the piano occasionally, and he’s taught me a couple things, but I’ll always be better at string instruments. What are some examples of their work? All those names sound so familiar

I played the trumpet and tuba back when I was in middle/high school but I haven't touched an instrument since. I've been wanting to pick up the bass guitar and sax recently though. My favorite genres are Jazz and Funk though my favorite composers are more classical: Senju Akira and Sugiyama Koichi

One of Joe Hisaishi's japanese concert suites. Oops I meant Concert Suites in Japan. If you've seen My Neighbor Totoro you'll recognize this. xP https://youtu.be/0CXs-2TmVbE Although, his work on Laputa: A Castle in the Sky will always be my favorite compositions he's written. Especially this piece. https://youtu.be/Yy8MEO_2AYo Noriyuki Iwadare is a bit more obscure, but here's some of his works that I like: https://youtu.be/m_nlC_I9nbM https://youtu.be/9OpmH0Mibt0 I'm a huge fan of his work on Lunar 2: Eternal Blue a great deal. Not to mention, I'm a mega fan of that video game. xD
