I can only speak for myself, but prepubescent girls are not attractive. Ew. If someone actually thinks they are in real life, they need to seek help, not watch anime. Animated fictional characters of hypothetically indeterminate age, however, can be. I'm not even sure I could begin to explain it. Just that it's very much one of those things that comes down to being aware of the line between reality and fantasy. Like how not everyone who thinks fictional vampires are kinda hot would be attracted to the idea of having their life sucked out of their neck by an undead monster in real life.

@xueli I can't speak for the lolicons either, since I'm personally annoyed by lolis. I think it's what Yuusaku said but I think the sense of danger and knowing it's forbidden can excite some people too. Check out Vladimir Nobokov's novel, "Lolita". You'll actually find ALL the answers there. XD (actually, if I'm not mistaken, that's where the term, "lolicon" [short for "lolita complex"] came from)

@Amezuki I can understand that to a certain extent, especially with regard to lolis (or more specifically, characters that have a lolita appeal). Here's the thing, If it's, for example, Shinobu from Nisemonogatari, I wouldn't call that a "loli". Sure, she has the body of an 8 year old but everyone knows that she has lived for centuries (if I'm inaccurate and getting this confused with Dance In The Vampire Bund, let me know XD). Characters like her or Tsukuyomi-sensei (A Certain Magical Index) can be more appealing because we know they're mature adults, despite the appearance. A loli is a girl that looks young and IS young. With that said, I guess I can see the appeal for actual lolis. After all, no real girl acts like Rin from Kodomo No Jika-.......you know what? Fuck it. I don't understand that shit at all. ooooh! Who would you like to see in ears and a tail Yuusaku? I dont like the furry look. for me, I apreciate their form of expression but they take it to far.
