Unless it's self defense. If someone is trapped between saving the attackers life and letting them kill you or chosing to save yourself and kill them then I'm sure most would choose the latter, or would there be some people on here who would choose the first option?

@Derpette Kameiya, I suppose you have a point. It depends on the precise situation we're dealing with here. As of right now I don't believe, the OP hasn't stated exactly what happened. Was he the victim in the situation? Or was the significant other the victim? If he did choose self-defense then I can certainly see that. It'd be against your own morality but I guess if you have no choice in an inevitable situation. Unless you can avoid the conflict without violence somehow?
