I think 1-3 months is reasonable. It shows you are serious, or at least want to be. Meet at a convention, or a sporting event. If neither one of you are willing to travel is really worth it to continue anyway? When will you ever meet if not now? What if when you finally meet you find the person is different from what you thought? If I find out someone is local and they don't want to meet up in less than 2 weeks, that's all red flags for me. If you can't sacrifice a single weekend to travel somewhere things are gonna be difficult, at least imo
