Why does the language always sound so menacing? When I was in Germany like 2 years ago, a man came up to me. I don't remember the exact words. But he pretty much said something like: "Hello good sir. Have you seen my dog by any chance? It ran off somewhere in this direction along with the leash." (my German speaking friend translated it for me). He said it in a very polite form too apparently. Yet it sounded like he was about to obliterate me for something on the spot. xD Edit: Foreigners say same about Russian, that's why I'm asking lmao.

Oh I see, Russian has a lot of sharp tones and kinda requires you to raise your voice quite a bit to pronounce it correctly so people understand you. Makes sense. My accent might actually not be noticeable at all if I learned German in a similar way haha.
