Yeah, I think so too. And to be honest, sometimes it's hard to keep a proper conversation going. Everyone eventually runs out of substantive things to say. I'm honestly too awk to make small talk to fill the void, I honestly have no idea how people do that. At least, when I do do it, I'm squirming inside.

One of the greatest struggles is that someone’s online/text persona is so different from who they are in real life. That’s not necessarily always by design, there are just so many things that attract people to other people as far as friendships and relationships go that you could never really convey through text chat: Mannerisms, demeanor, speech, humor, even how they look in person as opposed to in pictures.

@willurameshi This is spot-on. Oftentimes, the way people talk IRL and the way they talk online can be miles apart. Some of the most talkative people online are shy in person. Some of the most extroverted people can also be very curt in text.
