Rape i think starts with penetration I.E forced sodomy, vaginal and oral sex. Sexual harassment/assualt is things such as massaging shoulders, suggestive comments and groping. Being forced to do an act like choking is a gray area for me tho

I think I just realised. People thought I was trying to clarify if I had been raping people. That's not what I was asking at all. They insisted on the choking and I take no responsibility for people's choices. I was actually inquiring the opposite as silly as that might sound. But truth be told I think I know that isn't rape either. Although I think people shouldn't pressure others to partake in anything they REALLY don't want to do. Like choking/slapping/etc. It is dangerous and some people like myself really aren't comfortable with it
I'm afraid my points may be further misconstrued so please forget I said anything.

Imo I think assault is using force, rape would be actual penetration or at least both genitalias coming into contact. Well, genitalia or the butt or the mouth.
Another thing that is linked to this rape thing is domestic violence/abuse. Guy hit his girlfriend or yell at her? Everyone is standing up and ready to beat his ass. Woman hit her boyfriend and yell at him? Everyone is giggling and pointing fingers because it's funny he's letting himself being walked on. What chances does he have? Even if a hundred people witness the whole event, if the guy hit back, he's a big asshole abusing women. Being a woman doesn't mean you're right and being a man doesn't mean you're wrong. Society is a white knight now.
This isn't limited to just toxic masculinity, society has massive issues as a whole. They also can't think further than straight rape. The predator could be gay or bi, the victim's orientation doesn't matter.

i disagree, i think it comes down to toxic masculinity, that a man could never be harmed by a mere woman, and that if a mere woman does harm you, you must be less than her aka less than a man.
like a kitten scratching a dog, people laugh. it's a kind of subversion of expectations. the small bullying the big.
i think that has nothing to do with gender, actually. if a man the size and strength of a woman hits you, youd still be looked down upon for hitting him. same with why adults who bully kids are looked down upon. its seen as punching down.
if a woman the size and strength of a man hit a man and he hit her back, i cant see society seeing much wrong with that because they are evenly matched.
basically, when a man hits a woman it isnt bad because "its a gril" its bad because shes smaller and weaker typically.
if a thin teenager hit you and you decked him, people would look at you the same.
