When People Shit on Anime Fans

I've actually only seen people shit on anime since high school. Soon as I hit college, I stopped seeing them. Even now as a 31 year old adult, I stopped seeing them. And I live in the middle of redneck-ville.

Yeah, I honestly haven't seen people talk a whole bunch of shit about anime since high school also. Honestly it's pretty damn mainstream at this point since people can just hop on netflix and stumble on to anime. I remember a month or so back I walked into a seven eleven and I happened to be wearing a OPM shirt and the guy at the register was like "aaaaaay ONE PUNCH MAN" as soon as he saw me. I honestly was a bit taken aback because I wasn't expecting it at all. :u I think people do still dislike weebs though, hell me included. It's fine if you just like anime and Japanese culture because I mean. I like those things too. It's when you take it to the level of fanaticism where it just becomes super cringeworthy. I feel the same about anyone who takes things to that extreme in any medium actually. People who seem to have their lives revolve around one thing are never attractive or fun to be around. Nothing wrong with loving something but there's also nothing wrong with having many different interests. :u

Because Nijigen hasn't been mainstream, and this subculture originated from a foreign country~Misunderstandings and assumptions~If anime/manga became mainstream, I suppose then.. some weeaboos might be unhappy~after all, some people tend to show their uniqueness and superiority complex with interests that aren't quite common~（＾＿－）~
