Yeah lol i was talking about 2 actually: "The girl with all the gifts" and also "last of us" where the cordyceps is the main source of infection. Opposed to something like resident evil. I just meant overall and in general. Also yeah this is what i meant by an outbreak by the time it was caught it would be too late. If it was as simple as mushrooms randomly popping out, then it could be stopped right away. I meant in a scenario where it could "plant its seeds" metaphorically of course. So that by the time its caught it would be too late. From there just like in "girl with all the gifts" the fungus would make a large group of zombies gather in one area and then from there create spore pods where it would wait for moisture or heat and release a huge cloud of spores.
