^---(+)(+)(+)---^My Recommended Indie Game of The Week^---(+)(+)(+)---^ *>*>*>Yume Nikki<*<*<* https://youtu.be/ARpewy9gvus ---Price--- Free ---About--- Your are the beloved sleepy Madotsuki who seems to wander around in her own lucid dreaming every time she goes to sleep. When Madotsuki wakes up in her room she would perhaps play some games, write in her dream journal, or take a breath of fresh air from the balcony. Madotsuki is not too fond of leaving her room, and in the end of the day she sleeps in her bed. Dreaming some interesting phenomenal scenes. ---My Review--- *Spoiler Free* Ever bored of the same old gaming trends of today? Wanna just dabble into some thing new and strange? Why not try "Yume Nikki"! Your one stop shop to a maddening series of lucid dreams! Unravel the mystery of Madotsuki dreams as you collect "effects" to go deeper into the darkest depths of her mind. The game has almost zero dialogue, but Yume Nikki proves from time to time again that you don't need text to tell a intriguing story. Yume Nikki has a strong cult following, that is quite understandable by its grand mysterious world building. Furthermore the game's strange art is nothing short of amazing! Always expect the unexpected as you fill in the shoes of Madotsuki. Since the game has such a raw and intense atmosphere it can be beyond difficult for someone to categorize it for you. It could be anything from a psychological horror game to a walking simulator. It also has some unique puzzle mechanics that question it to be a puzzle game. Its all about how you as the player to interpret the story and its mechanics. Rating: 10/10 Life changing experience for me. ---Q & A--- Q: Where did you first discovered this game? A: I was watching one of my favorite YouTube personality "Night Mind", and shined a light on this content creator called "Jordan Underneath". I grew interest in "Jordan Underneath's" content and skits, especially the man's skits. His biggest inspiration was this game called "Yume Nikki" that seemed to me extremely intriguing. Q: Should I try this game out? A: Why not? You might need a guide occasionally if your lost. Q: Is there a end game? A: Yes, it is life changing. ---Links--- Yume Nikki Main Download Links: https://yumenikki.fandom.com/wiki/Yume_Nikki Yume Nikki Steam Version Link: https://store.steampowered.com/app/650700/Yume_Nikki/

^---(+)(+)(+)---^Web Browser Bytes^---(+)(+)(+)---^ *>*>*>To Do List<*<*<* ---About--- Join our lovable male protagonist, as he faces the hardships of cooping in his own little world. Quirky, charming, and a fun puzzle game that you will definitely enjoy on your own lonesome! Oh, did I forgot to mention? The "To Do List" got its own original soundtrack! So break out those dashing headphones and jam like a maniac to its catchy tune. ---My Review--- *Spoiler Free* Man, this game is a trip. I always have this game in the back of the mind, since I first encountered it. Mostly because of how much I can relate to certain aspects of the male protagonist. Its tough to endure some of those hardships, as well to be so stoic while opposing such trials. The character arch design is definitely one of the most impressive developments, especially in such a short span of time. The soundtrack is not something you can simply forget neither. It just fits so well in its own narrative structure! 10/10 Always willing to experience this again! ---Q & A--- Q: It looks like a scary game from its icon image, is it? A: Can't tell you. If your interested why not play the game! Q: How long is it? A: Its about ten minutes, depends on how good you are with the puzzles. Q: I'm stuck, please help! A: Look at the controls on the bottom of the web browser game. ---Links--- To Do List Web Browser Game Link: https://fourquarters.itch.io/to-do-list

^---(+)(+)(+)---^Web Browser Bytes^---(+)(+)(+)---^ *>*>*>Roulette Knight<*<*<* ---About--- Getting rich ain't easy, so what are you willing to do? To bring that bread onto the table! As the legendary "Roulette Knight" you must conquer the trials that lay before to become filthy rich! What are these trials? Well its simple shoot yourself, I'm serious. Play the ultimate risk/rewards game in human history … Russian roulette. Get ready to lock n' load, and wish for gold or to avoid death! Yeah, Its a Russian roulette/role playing game! ---My Review--- *Spoiler Free* Oh jeez, this game is ridiculously addictive. It doesn't look like it at first by its classic 8-bit format, but the games mechanics are deep as deep can go! The thing about "Roulette Knight" though is that its easy to pickup, and also can be played differently depending on the player's play style. Its mostly dependent on how risky the player likes to play it. Are you a big risk/big rewards type of guy or the opposite end of the spectrum? Overall, I had a fantastic fun time! The gambling mechanics, and its skill tree is so awesome to invest time in. Heck, how the very fact your knight tenses up after every shot, makes me wanna go on the edge of my seat with excitement. Oh talking about that knight you play as, he is animated beautifully to correspond that every teeth grinding moment perfectly! Its so rare to find such a vivid character, that doesn't need to show his face to express how he truly feels. 10/10 This game is like crack, its to addictive for one's own good! ---Q & A--- Q: I can't seem to be progressing in the game, is there something I'm doing wrong? A: On the upper left corner, there is a map icon that helps you move to the next trail. Q: I keep dying, why is the game so hard? A: Change up your strategy, maybe you'll get lucky. Q: Can I download it, and take it on the go? A: Yes, you should be able to find the download link on the same page as the web browser game! ---Links--- Roulette Knight Web Browser Game Link: https://fourquarters.itch.io/roulette-knight-ludum-dare-41

The person who restored this ROM seems to believe that people who have played this game in its purest form, has been reported to suffer from intense physiological trauma or worse [REDACTED]. The effect has been severely reduced in this version of the ROM. ---My Review--- *Spoiler Free* Who doesn't love "Pacman"? Put on those good ole nostalgia glasses, because we are going time traveling! Oh how I barely could contain myself when I heard those classic iconic sounds, its simply to d̶̺͂í̷͔ê̵̠ for! This ROM is perhaps the best version of "Pacman" up to date! What more would you ever want out of l̴̥͐i̴̜͛f̵̩̀e̴̪̅! ^---(+)(+)(+)---^Web Browser Bytes^---(+)(+)(+)---^ *>*>*>Make Sure It's Closed<*<*<* ---About--- The developer quotes; "I made a short game about something that used to scare me as a child". The game itself is that very feeling in a bottle. Imagine your parents had a couples only outlining, and your tasked to make sure that dam garage door is closed. Its faulty, but there is nothing else to fear … right? ---My Review--- *Spoiler Free* I'm gonna get straight to the point on this one, I f**king love its setup. I never felt this alone, and this anxious while playing a game in a long time. Perhaps I too fell in the shoes of this type of scenery many times before. I never thought a game can actually capture childhood trauma of mine so easily. The whole game is pretty much, dark childhood simulator under three minutes. Oh did I forgot to say, that its literally three minutes! That is one impressive feat, if I ever saw one. That tension, when I'm closing the garage door made me so squeamish! I naturally panicked and start smashing my hands onto the keyboard for a response. There is one glaring issue of this masterpiece that I must address. The final delivery though, made me quite sad. I felt it needs more of a punch! 8/10 God like buildup, but one weak final delivery. It be perfect if they have that one flaw fixed. ---Q & A--- Q: You gave the man 8/10, if you were so smart how would you fix that delivery you jerk! A: A jump scare would be cliché, but it will be a very well deserved cliché from it's via tension building. Jump scares are only bad if you have little to no buildup. Q: I don't feel that tension your talking about, where is it? A: Make sure you have headphones, if you don't put this game on hold until you do. Q: Are you gonna look more into the developer's other games? A: Definitely, I want to bring this developer some justice and try their other game. Its going to be in the next "My Recommended Indie Game of the Week" coming soon on Friday! ---Links--- Make Sure It's Closed Web Browser Game Link: https://corpsepile.itch.io/make-sure-its-closed
