Welcome to MaiOtaku, and I agree with your statement, although it does have it's bugs sometimes (it sounds like you've traveled the internet far and wide). You're in exactly the right place to do that and I'm betting you'll have plenty of friends in no time. There's absolutely nothing wrong with the way you talk, it's probably a breath of fresh air to look at some proper English for some than "y u do dis" or similar forms of internet speak. It sounds like you've been very very involved and I can't say I'm envious as two of those activities are on my bucket list. Your introduction was far more detailed than most so don't sweat it there at all, you say you're not used to it but you did rather well, better than I even, a forum junkie.
