@jacobl89 yeah i really liked that they confirmed an afterlife in kimetsu
it didn't take the suspense away from fights or the sadness away when characters died, and instead it gave a bitter sweet feeling

Like I have RARELY seen a show use the concept of an afterlife to build the story this well. I might be simping for Demon Slayer but I don't care. Also Tanjirou is one of the few "kind" protagonist that actually seem genuine about his kindness and there is reason for it. He can smell people's emotions, when you know what someone is going through it is easier to understand them, this easier to sympathize with them. He had the maturity to know he had to kill the demons on his path but the kindness to remind us that they were once people too, and also victim's.

Lamby ラミ @momoichi No it is implied that either all demons that killed people will stay in hell or be there long enough to atone. I hope it is the second. Just imagine a future story where the main cast is incarnations of the demons but this time they don't let circumstances or fatal flaws guide them down the wrong path and are actually shown that they can be good too.
Hell if Doma had feelings he might have turned out differently.
If UM 1 had not become Jealous of his Brother he would have turned out differently.
If circumstances had been kinder to The UM6 twins who knows how they could have turned out.
If Rui hadn't been ill who knows how he could have developed.

@jacobl89 yeah usually i hate those cookie cutter shonen protags but tanjiro being a softboy felt authentic. plus him showing other emotions and being willing to kill for those he loves made him a realistic character, instead of the 'i never kill uwu' protags that just arent realistic and feel like moral virtue signally
he gave pity to people that deserved it, and for those that didn't, like muzan, he gave none. he was a real person
i really liked muzan as well, because although he was a black and white character with his actions, his motivations were realistic and the fear he displayed was relatable. him turning into a baby in the end was truly who he was. just a scared child.
the mangaka had to alter the ending because she was cutting it short, so i wonder what the real ending was suppose to be? it must have involved the family that muzan was seen with in the beginning of the manga, because that really felt like a chekov's gun
" No it is implied that either all demons that killed people will stay in hell or be there long enough to atone."
oooh i see ;w; it makes sense, motivations are secondary to the actions themselves. still, i hope akaza is happy someday ;w;
yeah douma was tragic in and of himself. really not his fault for what he became. really awesome character though, i love those kind of manipulative characters
like enmu, he was able to successfully manipulate muzan himself. i think hes a really under appreciated character because he has a REALLY good plan, and the only thing that ruined it was the mix of tanjiro being mentally stable/unstable enough to off himself and the fact that rengoku was on board. if either of those things didn't happen then they would have been toast and enmu could have lived out his dream of being a train
did you ever read the factoids about enmu? apparently as a human he was a doctor that conned humans by hypnotizing them into thinking he cured them of their diseases. i love that creepy lil trainophile.

I did not know that about Enmu, what a POS. Lol
I think they sort of answered the Muzans family thing.
Basically if I remember right he killed their father and traumatized them and brainwashed them into thinking he was their husband/father. Apparently he did this a lot. Odds are that family is dead.
Yea it is sad that the ending got altered. I feel the ending is something the anime can improve on as a big criticism of it is that Muzans is just swinging his tentacles longer than it takes for a dbz character to power up. The anime could easily solve that though.

@jacobl89 in japan they got these lil factoid pamphlets, lemme look it up
https://demonslayedher.tumblr.com/post/632465166511013888/mugen-train-taisho-secrets
this blog has it, i recommend looking through it, it has factoids about all the characters in the movie
o. do you remember when that's explained? like storyline wise?
true, true, it is kinda weird he stood stagnant that entire fight. id love though for the mangaka to tell the studio her original ending and have it expressed through the anime. studios and mangaka do that all the time, so fingers crossed tightly
