Anti Valentine's day

Seriously I just don't like Valentine's Day not just because of the fact that it sucks and is not just because the fact that it's just a holiday for people to spend their money on useless things for someone that might or might not spend the rest of your life with. And anyway I said why didn't like Valentine's Day but I'm seeming you're not getting what I'm saying right now like I just don't like Valentine's Day and people want reason why why why and I'm giving the reason why I don't like it. Valentine's Day is just another day but sadly people don't see it that way.

And Christmas was made to replace a Pagan holiday celebrating the Winter Solstice, typically celebrated by adultery and overindulgence in food, alcohol, and lovemaking. What's your point? What a holiday was founded as or how it was celebrated in pre-modern history doesn't impact how the holiday is predominantly celebrated today. Was it celebrated once upon a time by selling women? Maybe it was. Is it today? No. When people celebrate Valentine's Day in the modern day, it is not for that same reason. We change. Most Holidays are steeped in some ugly shit. But how they're celebrated TODAY is what is important. To hell with the assholes that used it for ugly reasons. We don't use it for that way today. Is it over-commercialized? Yes. Is it a necessary holiday? No. Is it hurting anyone today? No.

And most of the time the people who complain about such commercialization never seem to include Halloween. Hundreds of dollars are spent on candy, costumes, and decorations but it all gets a pass because it supposedly about sticking it to the man.

Agreed with Demon Prince Audio! All holidays are commercial holidays. No exception. Every holiday in the modern day is meant to sell products with the idea that if you don't do it, you're unable to participate. You spend thousands for Christmas, somewhere between an assload or fuckton for Halloween, a good chunk for Thanksgiving if you're the one doing the cooking... take a look at Easter, Hanukkah, Veteran's Day, Valentine's Day, Fourth of July... nearly every holiday is commercially exploited. That's an argument you can make against Valentine's Day. Despite being someone that does "celebrate" Valentine's Day despite not having a significant other, I will always say that it is bullshit that you're sold the idea of being unable to participate if you don't fork over some cash first. It doesn't demean the holiday, but there are some people who find themselves unable to think they can participate because they don't have money.

dude I can talk about Halloween 4 days about how people spend their money on Halloween costumes but I was poor enough to not even have money for her costume and I didn't have all that time to go to a store to even go out for trick-or-treating because I was too scared that somebody was going to try to grab me or shoot me or just leave me hanging. Seriously it is bad out in New York and it just gets worse. The only thing I do when it comes to Halloween is watch horror movies that's it because I don't want to do the whole BS love going out trick-or-treating and how people didn't have respect enough for me to not throw eggs at my house and that was even one of my classmates.

it seems like the only holiday that actually like is saint Patrick's Day because I get to watch the horror movie leprechaun because now that I'm older I can drink I'm saint Patrick's Day and feel normal.

Ok well that my personalize opinion is all i it's been a bad day for me because i am single and have always been on valentine day but i have no problem, with anyone who wishing to celebrate day in faq more power to anyone who does.

Yeah yeah yeah pretty much I hate enough people that I would tell them that I hate the holiday that we celebrate or I would hate certain people in general. Don't get me wrong I like certain people like my family but it's just this generation that I hate the most.
