nah fuck giving fatcat brands a tax cut
brands only hurt if their sales are damaged by the second hand shop, which they clearly arent so why care xD?

so by your logic a brand can tell someone who has a different political belief to throw away the shirt they bought from that brand?

I mean you can send the used clothes to recycle or donate...but you can't really buy an item with a constant or depreciating sales price and make a net profit out of it legally..without the brand owners permission

people do that all the time
isnt that the issue with the new xbox or whatever? that people are buying it just to resell it on ebay for a higher price?
it happens all the time, in a capitalism if you buy something it is yours.
if you lease or rent it you can not sell it, true
but you bought it, whole sale, its yours
like, imagine if you apply this to a house. you buy a house outright but when you want to sell it the people that built the house want a cut
that's not how it works at all, and its not how it should work

collectables are like land
they appreciate value over time
same with vintage clothing, or anything vintage really
if i buy a house outright it is mine and i can resell it and recoup all the costs of paying for it plus more
if i buy an xbox outright it is mine and i can resell it and recoup all the costs of paying for it plus more
