why is beating the dog wrong? if taste pleasure is the crux of your point, then certainly adding to the taste would be no issue ill answer your other points now 1. how do humans understand suffering outside of instincts? and because humans and animals are sentient 2. why is it disturbing? meat is meat, no? 3. how are we nature? 4. it depends, but we're going with the assumption the suffering is what makes it so yum yum for my timmy tum tum

1. Humans have a much higher ability to reason and understand complex structures. They can think deeply about what things mean and precieve consequences to a greater extent 2. Its disturbing for any number of reasons. Mostly because its extremely repeatable. You bite into the flesh, and it feels like you are biting into yourself 3.
