okay so I dont really mind on what people consume and what not but if you are saying that we should stop hunting them for food cause animals also have a moral. Well assuming all animals have morals then does this apply to only herbivores cause carnivores do hunt for food too and kill animals who cause of survival instinct run away to obviously save their life. Think consuming food should be looked as only as ingesting nutrients the source doesnt matter as long as it doesnt harm humans

Nah my argument is contingent on the fact animals deserve basic moral consideration for the same reason why we give that to humans - because they can experience pain and suffering.

no that was just a fun fact I added, had nothing to do with the debate during the experiment the rats would only save the rats they already knew anyways, so pretty basic ass empathy

so that is how the humans work too and that is why we have laws protecting human abuse and murder to protect our species...we have a moral compass and feelings that is allowing us to doubt even the food we eat which is the basics of the basic for a living being...but animals who doesnt have this dont ...they just dont doubt they will always follow their instincts and hormones to survive
