weeb experiences

i forgot the degree of weebness on this site, TELL ME YOUR WEIRDEST (not lewd pls) WEEB STORIES/EXPERIENCES As for me, my "weirdest" ( not weird at all, just in my experience it was kind of awkward) weeb experience, was actually meeting you guys. it's always funny how this many people, all introvert/shy/anxious/whatever, can come together in a place/site like this and come together and be wholesome and chat about random stuff! Tell me your weeb stories!

as a kid me and my friends were obsessed with naruto, so we'd put on our naruto headbands (the legit ones from hottopic my dudes, this was serious business) and play ninja we'd fight and run like naruto ninja's during recess, and swing our coats around like weapons i accidently cut a kids head open with my coat weapon cause apparently swinging a jacket with a zipper around is actually pretty dangerous iv never been the "DESU KAWAII" kinda weeb, but always walked around with manga in my backpack and read them openly in class (which apparently was enough to dub me a weeb by some people)

I believe yes was talking more about what you've seen, not how much of a weeb you are... But, at least one here is very, very ironic. As for me? I guess I don't really go to places where weebs might be. I was born in '83 and the whole "weeb" thing just wasn't a thing until really maybe the mid 2000's. Sure, dorks/geeks/nerds were a thing, but anime just wasn't even mainstream let alone something recognized as being obscure. No one really cared about "anime", it was I like this cartoon or I don't. But, I do agree that this place is at times very much the definition of weeb culture. Nothing wrong with that, it just is what it is.

I've read about people in highschool wearing a sailor fuku school uniform thing (forgot the exact name) and it's worn daily, so it's a mystery if they have multiple identical uniforms or if they just always wear the same and never/rarely wash it. Nothing I've seen personally though. Also been to a panel at a con about a dating game and it was pretty funny overall but a girl kept calling her boyfriend ONII-CHAN. All caps because every time she said it she said it very loud.
