Proof that 1+1=2

Well in really simple terms the proof is like.. you take an orange in one hand and an apple in another hand.. now if you count how many objects you have, you will have 2 objects (1 orange plus 1 apple). Here both orange and apple denotes a set of 1 element each and those two elements are in disjoint (ie. arent same) thus when u combine those sets you get 2 as the result. In the same place if you take an orange in left hand and call it set a and pass that orange to right hand and call it set b then combining set a and b wont give you the result 2 as both objects are same.

^yes and thats exactly why that proof is more than 300 pages long! He started from zero and defined everything :V but yes you can get dumb down of it if you only want the proof for 1+1 = 2 and not define everything :P
