2018, Do you think online relationships can work out?

Bliss, At some point youd have to ask yourself if its the idea you have of the person, the romantisized view of a fantasy that you have romantic feelings for or if you are truly willing to put in the effort to meet. Never meeting would never allow you to truly know them on an intimate level. Sure, you can be romantic online or "fall" for someone, but relying on stringing each other along while knowing you'll probably never meet, that's what I was getting at and that's what I don't get. I never said anything about romance not being a thing online. But, please regale us with your experiences that'll say differently or misread what I'm actually saying.

Someone made the comment about online relationships never working cause they either die, or they become normal relationships, and I thought that was an interesting point.

I find part of that comment to be asinine, unless you're referring to a normal relationship as becoming a platonic one otherwise if you mean a normal relationship as when you finally meet in person than that's the goal

I had a former friend that thought having a girlfriend you only met online is foolish. Others I know disagree thinking it's okay as long as both lovers are staying connected. But if one of them find someone else or if lose each other in contacting online, one or both will change to someone else. Sometimes stay single.
