@dyadka_yar I love Golubzy (doesn't they use tomato sugo for the sauce?) and Pelmeni <3 OMG I love them! German Kohlroulade (stuffed cabbage) is also a bit different with breadcrumbs and Speck(something like bacon) inside. Ginger and Shiitake are super ingredients. Especially the ginger makes the Roll Kyabetsu topnotch. It's funny to see that the sauce makes the biggest difference in all dishes.

@lewd_araragi do you mean this? https://www.hofbraeuhaus.de/de/hofbraeuhaus.html Never been to Hofbräuhaus (and I dunno what kind of dishes they have in the US) but I've heard that they shall be authentic. Typical Bavaria food. Here in North Germany, you'll get different kind of dishes. Fish dishes for instance.

@elhaym yes exactly that. I think Bavarian food is the most popular German food in the US, but there it was done very well. My only complaint is they only had basic hofbrau beer which is kind of plain. Other than that the restaurant had a great environment and was PACKED. Pre covid btw

@lewd_araragi That's interesting, because I know that Bavarian beer is strong. Bavaria envorinment is very Urig (old fashioned).

@elhaym I'm just biased cause they have one beer i really like, their winter spezial. Other than that I think Hacker-Pschorr makes better beer :)

@lewd_araragi Hacker-Pschorr? Never ever heard of it, but it sounds like a hole in the wall restaurant! Ever tried Bock-Beer? A Bavarian friend of mine told me that beer shall have a great taste (and makes you quickly tipsy) Edit: whoaa, we have a Hacker-Pschorr in Hamburg!!!
