Neither happy nor sad Just a little fucked in the head With lots of ambition for the future

I suppose I feel numb. I don't think anyone really has a future. We live for a few years and then die. Only a few people actually do anything of value but even they can be replaced. Not to piss on you or anyone but hope is a fallacy and one of the greatest lies ever told. Why? well because it's a lie and a logical fallacy that someone told a poor soul and now everyone and their mothers believe it including the person that told it.

I do feel happy in my life. I used to feel reaaaally unhappy because I've experienced quite a bit of abuse and never really got any reconciliation. But like doctor Phil says, sometimes you have to say to yourself what you want others to tell you. I try not to remember nevative things that happen because it's frankly not worth my time. I am truly happy with my life and probably will continue to be. Sorry if that doesnt answer your question lol.

I'm honestly jaded, but I am content that my situation isn't the worst.

Nope. I've been single since birth, most of my close friends (while they are amazing) live thousands of miles away, I'm stuck at a dead end job with no chance of promotion ever that has given me no real experience I could take to another job, and I'll be in debt from college for a huge chunk of my adult life. So now if I ever do want to get a better job, I have to spend a crap load of my free time teaching myself things my job should have taught me but didn't, reteaching myself things I was hired to do and haven't gotten to once, and eventually paying out of my own pocket for certifications the company now offers new hires but not people that have been there as long as me. Yes to all the negative things Starstorm suggested. For the rest, see Ed's response. I guess I'm doing a little better the last few days because I actually have multiple good friends that I can talk to about things for the first time ever, but it will likely take professional help to fix a lifetime up until now of hopelessly terrible luck and emotional abuse from friends, family and bullies.

Depends. What most people don't realize is happiness isn't a state of emotion, but one of a state of mind. Emotions are fleeting, it's why most marriages end in divorce. To be truly happy, isn't complex, but it is difficult. For instance at least for me, I was never happy. I was either depressed due to some bad experiences, or numb due to being so isolated. It felt like things would never get better so I just had to deal with it. But I came to a realization. If I just accept that's the normal, than I'll never BE happy. So how do you be truly happy in my opinion? Do what you enjoy, and what you need. They are two different things. For one, the biggest issue I see with people often, is that they never do what they need. For instance if you aren't happy with your body, you don't think you're good looking enough for a girl ect, Then they give up. Instead of exercising to rid themselves of the problem. Or they don't have the education, or the money to get the education. Instead of going to college, and getting multiple jobs to pay for it. Accepting that you aren't good enough, or not talented or anything, is the worst thing you can do to yourself, and it's the easiest thing to do. So, you keep trying to fix your problems till you succeed. Once you're in the mindset of fixing your issues instead of tolerating them, things get alot easier. You feel good knowing you're doing everything you can, and that eventually you will succeed in your goals. Things stop looking so gray, and instead start looking a brighter. It's important to recognize the bad side of things, but also not let them control you. So mindset wise? Yes. You'll always get depressed or sad, some times. Conflict brings it. But overall, I am happy.

I feel genuinely happy. I don't understand why, but being alone makes me so happy.
