That one guy

personalmaidservice
Have you ever seen that one guy randomly act tough but then you look at the dude, doesn’t even look like a chad at all? Was at the mall holdin holding quilts and a shower curtain and this dude quickly walks up to his girlfriend staring off in random directions and looks at me. Legit was about to bust out laughing. I know some bois do it on an off line some girls think it’s cute other people not so much on a preference basic Where as I find this comedic sometimes. Like when people are staring at who ever your with or something I get it but at times when no one gives a shit it’s a fun “display” Also when some dudes get all chest puffed up the voice deepening thing. That or some defensive tones. What do you think of some of these “displays”? (All yes I know somethings are done with out thought/sometimes involuntarily and are fine, don’t mean it’s not funny AF when there’s no reason for it XD)

It's hilarious. I've seen it nearly all the time in my area. The dudes here act tough but when shit goes down, they become wuss.

I’m not strong and could checkup some behavior to evolution and such but sometimes you see it in the most awkward moments at like Buffett’s or restaraunts when ur about to sit down and people just look at you with a specific look. XD Lol tfw raised by my grandma and Mom

Guys that aren't confident tend to overcompensate. That said doing nothing also doesn't per-say make one confident either.

I work retail and I see it quite a bit, so yeah. You just kinda brush it off and laugh.

I had a colleague at one job that was pain to hang out with but I'd laugh after I was home. "Did you see how she was looking at me? She seemed interested" was said on a common occurrence.

Yup. I know him. See a lot of That One Guys, actually. Usually first time HVZ players. You learn a lot about the psychology of people in games like Humans vs Zombies. Like Leo said, the people who brag about how good they are are generally the people you see walking towards the zombies and untying their bandanas with a tear in the corner of their eyes. (Or worse yet, abandoning the mission and leaving everyone else for dead.) Now the people who try to use their confidence to bring composure towards those around them rather than bolster their own resolve? Those are the guys worth following into battle. Likewise, the people who can admit when they are nervous, but still hold their ground. You want people like that at your side. I personally think this applies pretty well outside the game as well. Show, don't tell.

Working at a restaurant I see them for almost 8-12 hours a day, but instead of tough replace it with smug as hell.
