Like Enki said, as long as you are able to share yourself fully and not have any ulterior motives then it should be fine. There will be people that will trust you and it is important to know that you aren't a catfish any longer. The past is the past so don't let it control your future. You are more than just a catfish and it really is up to you on whether you want to be known as more than that. Personally, I would not care as long as they were open and did not pull anything shady. I mean, if catfishing was the worst thing you did, I wouldn't feel that bad. I've done it before, not for any kind of emotional reason but because I wanted money for some games and horny men on the internet are really fucking stupid.
