What is the best way to start a relationship?

It's generally just a feeling you can kind of put a finger on. Obviously the first step is to talk to and get to know them. Make an effort to want to spend time with them and take a genuine interest in their lives and interests. Usually if the feelings are mutual they will reciprocate and make an effort to chat with you and want to spend a lot of their free time with you and make overtures for doing so even if yours and their schedules don't always mix. Keep the sexual talk to a minimum early on unless they're the ones that bring up the subject. Now obviously its going to be different on here versus IRL where you live. You can't put a gun to someone's head and make them like you, and the best thing to learn how to understand is when they're clearly not interested. Usually through lack of communication, slow replies, not being able to or wanting to spend time with you. As much as it'd be nice for someone to say "sorry, I'm not interested", a lot of people don't have the confidence to be that blunt to someone as to not want to directly hurt their feelings so you gotta kinda learn to read in-between the lines. Basically, if they're digging you, you'll see in in their actions as well as their words.

i cant stand non bluntness. either reject me or dont. or confess to me or dont. but if you confess to me dont be creepy about it. regardless i have daddy and mommy issues so i guess im not someone anyone should date @_@ it feels kinda discriminatory since im adopted and my adoptive parents divorced but whatever

Like Muffin said pretty much. Honestly, I think that in this type of community that we feel more of a natural need to be with others who share similar interests and thus, it's easier to bond with someone. As said before you have to be patient and know when it's mutual desire with one another that you ask the question of taking it somewhere more seriously~
