What makes you.... you?

EMPATHY. I always try to understand why someone acted the way he did. I know there is always a reason for the most beautiful act of kindness and also a reason for the most despicable act of malignity. A bully at school might just be an abused child at home. A saint might just be trying to get "Nice" points to get more power and achieve a darker goal. I believe in the philosophy of determinism. There is always a cause. Except maybe for the universe, before the universe, the rules of physics were probably different if there were rules at all.

I am an easygoing, people-person, but can get overwhelmed in social situations easily (introvert, but not anti-social). I can be kind of a worrywart - but usually find a way through my problems on my own. I never really give up, and try to see the positive sides of things - despite constantly feeling depressed. I try to put myself in other peoples shoes often so I can understand where they are coming from. My sense of humor is >sometimes< very dark and twisted, and sometimes dry and wholesome (puns are life). I am not afraid to make fun of myself or take the occasional roast as I see it all in good fun. Lastly and most importantly I like butt.

My interest in history, particularly things considered archaic and esoteric. I have particular hobbies such as writing, collecting models and vinyl records. I have a tendency to be indifferent to most things... a cruel streak towards those I dislike, but a kind side to those I do like.

I'm not very different from most people here except the fact I have memorized tons of random facts/knowledge consciously and unconsciously(another reason why I could always win my seat in quiz shows about general knowledge when I was in school;But this trait makes me hard to talk with, not to mention getting to know quickly; we introverts don't like small talk, I'm an introvert of introvert, so..). Also,it takes me for ever to respond back..Few people have this bad habit...

Moreover, I was born and grew up in China..Neo-Confucianism and Buddhism cannot be removed from the brain（the whole society is based on Confucianism）. Those make it more difficult for people to talk with me...though I also learn western history/linguistics/religions/values.

I I’m not really sure. A lot people have come to know me for different things, but I think some of my defining traits come out when certain triggers are hit and they can either be very negative or very postive. It’s kinda bad cause it makes me feel my sense of self is misplaced. Though I try my best to cling to being what ever “me” is. Mostly my interests and my perceptions of them.

I have minor amounts of cultural influences and a lot of stuff I’ve believe in currently is done with the intention of seeking truth from when I was younger And have been very resistant to most influences out of spite thinking there’s one day going to be a new path or a new way

I noticed one thing about me..I scare people because I can be very quiet. I'm not trying to scare, im just too shy to greet first and i dont like making noises out of courtesy. So I just "appear" when I need something from someone and they jump "UWAA!" and It scares me too and I jump @.@ idk if this is a good trait or bad trait...
