Yes, that is something you should take into consideration. I know plenty of extroverts who try to classify themselves as introverts due to anxiety, yet they don't seem to realize how to interact with introverts. Being shy and a bit of a shut in doesn't mean you are an introvert, and social introverts are a thing that exists as well. Other traits are easier to figure out. Like: Are you intuitive or observant? Thinking or Feeling? Judging or Prospecting? Its actually easy to be somewhere in the middle though, and depending on what kinda questions they're throwing at you, you may find the data puts you on one side of the fence or the other depending on what test you take. For example, I tend to be pretty close to the line between Judging and Prospecting, and so I have come off as INFJ in some tests.
