Give them the password to your crunchyroll, tell them you starred in yuri on ice, have seen 300+ anime, and attend 5-6 cons a year.

Buy yourself a doll and keep her. Humans aren't meant to be kept. Although, you'll just find another word for it and do the same thing, won't you?

It's different for me, I love having Anime in common as much as I love not having everything in common at all. It depends on the person and how committed you are to get to know them and open up to them. Do things together, yes, also do things for her only.

So most of the guys here act like all ladies are magical unicorns.... does that mean that anime fan girls are Elite Magical Unicorns??? In case it was not detected that was indeed Sarcasm, if the only damned thing you want in common is anime and/or gaming then you are by nature a shallow/dull/boring person... You should take up... Hiking... or Knitting... or Learn an Instrument. Anything to make yourself an interesting human being, rather than trying to live in a fantasy world full time. Harsh Words? Yea. True Words? Yea. Have a Great Day Everyone :)

If she's into you, she's into you. Fandoms aside, I think it's more about you as the person and how you live and treat her and others as to whether she's going to stick around long term or not. I think there's something to be said about being fans of something together, but whether you have a big wall of anime dvds or not is probably a minor thing for someone who wants a relationship with you. If you were a couple for six months and then she dumps you because she's just not into you any longer, it's probably something broader than you both being otaku and/or cosplayers.
