Whats more important loyalty or honesty?

@¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Yes, which negates any chance of them being loyal to you, leaves you with a broken heart, and that's that. But if they're loyal, yet aren't honest, it'll hurt all the more since they're closer to you, depending on what the lie is. Unless someone would wanna stay in a "loyal" relationship, staying ignorant of the lies they may tell, trusting the person that the lies aren't that big of a deal. Sure, might sound easy to some people, but what if the lie was huge and pertaining to you. Would you forgive them or see it as a complete violation of trust? Does their loyalty outmatch any punishment due to piercing your trust and taking secrets pertaining to you into their own hand? It should just be forgiven? What's loyalty when its a relationship that's built on lies? Is a broken heart from honesty or a genuine loyal relationship slowly being torn apart by lies and possibly insecurity? Unless anyone's fine with turning a blind eye to someone's actions just because they're close to you, constantly getting hurt cause of someone else's lies, honesty is more important since its required for loyalty.

Honesty Just for me the good basis for loyalty is always honesty.

Both. Then again, I prefer loyalty. Being loyal isn't something that's extreme to ask for, but I would openly prefer someone to be there by my side, whenever I really need them. You can be honest, but sometimes honesty isn't always the best option.

Or one could even say loyalty in an extreme sense is just Stockholm syndrome in a smaller form for those stuck in toxic relationships

Both without a doubt - but I definitely value loyalty a lot more. I can understand when people feel the need to lie especially when there's a very good reason for it. Even if it's just little white lies, from my experience if a loyal friend or partner did that to me then I know they did it because they care about me and wanted to protect what we have. It doesn't necessarily mean I'm always okay with it though.
