online/texting man much more easy and you can convey what really is in you're mind without hesitation not unlike in real time.

I prefer doing calls and being able to see them in person! Texting is good for the time in between though

Communicating with them in real life is the only way to see if they are truly compatible with us...But I do prefer to know their values and insights via the internet...texting＞video chats.

Mostly online roleplay relationships, that was I can have my space when I need it, and if they turn out to be a super creepy, I can tell them, "Sorry, it's over," and I don't have to interact with them and I didn't really lose anything significant other than someone pretending to be in love with someone I'm pretending to be.
The last IRL relationship I tried ended in less than a week, so I wouldn't even consider it a real one. I got freaked out on for not replying to them fast enough after telling them I was busy. Pretty much snuffed out that reemerging desire to be a real person with another real person. It's just tedious and always ends with someone's possessions on fire.

Real life hands down. I'm not a fan of LDR but I'd be willing to try it again if I found someone I really liked.

Real life as a general rule, its much easier to see through the bull turd.
That being said I have had amazing relationships via the net, met the mother of my son on match.
If you are seriously looking for a relationship online (not a hookup thats another creature) a few things to do
1) Don't waste time on people that waste time. There are probably hundreds or even thousands of others to talk with, get yourself out there honestly and make sure they are willing to also. (This is who I am - Age - Postive Qualities - Flaws) and make sure they do the same.
2) If 1 fails... move on.
3) Real life meeting is better... relationships... well they require a thing called "relating" online relating can be difficult its more like simulated relating
