For those that are curious on how bitcoin works on more technical level. Regular buyers don't need to know any of this. Just some fun knowledge on the subject.
Bitcoin is completely decentralized network. No government or bank issuance Bitcoin is a completely decentralized communal ledger that keeps tracks of all transactions within the network. In the simplest sense. A ledger is nothing more than a history of transactions. Each transaction within the ledger has a signature that verifies the transaction.
Letter represents an entity that sends or receives funds within the MaiOtaku Ledger.
A pays B (verified by A)
B pays C (verified by B)
C pays A (verified by C)
A pays D (verified by A)
So on and so forth…
Where each verification requires a cryptographic digital signature. A signature requires both a message and private key. No one can forge your signature without a message and private key. In other words. A function requires both the message and private keys to produce a signature.
Sign(message, private key) = signature
Then hand in hand comes another function to verify whether the private keys produced a signature that is true or false. Which requires the message, signature and private keys.
Verify(message, signature, private key) = True/False
You may ask. Couldn’t the digital signatures be forged or copied? It is extremely infeasible, but theorically possible. As the BTC signature is a 2^256 bit signature. 2^256 is an extremely, extremely large number. A number bigger than all the atoms in the observable universe. Too large to comprehend. You can try and brute force a 2^256 bit signature. Good luck with that.
Then comes another interesting problem. Let’s say that you are hearing the transactions broadcasted by the ledger. How can you be certain that every ledger that everyone has is the same as yours? In other words. A’s history of transactions is the same as B’s, C’s, D’s etc. This is where the concept of proof of work comes in.
Assume a ledger has a list of transactions. Where a special umber is given for that list of transactions. SHA256 is then applied to the list. Where the first x amount of the hash start with zeros. The only way to check the number of zeros in a cryptographic hash function is by brute force.
SHA256(message) = Hash
Transactions are listed on a block. Do a computation that’s results in the hash of that block that starts with some x number of zeros (proof of work). Once it is found. The block is broadcasted out. The block creator is given a reward for the computation. Each new block contains the hash of the previous block at its header. Which results in a chain of cryptographic blocks. In other words. The blockchain.
Sorry, I got a little technical. I still skipped over a lot of stuff. Unless you really get into the weeds. This is stuff that nobody really needs to know. Just for the ones that are really curious behind the technology behind cryptocurrency.
Alright, that’s enough serious shit for today. Back to trolling

Yeah I have some fractions of a bitcoin. Usually throw a little bit of money at it once per paycheck when it dips. I'll forever regret not buying it back when I was offered some at $10 a coin. Then again it was pretty much just used on the deepweb at the time and I wasn't too keen on hiring a hitman or buying mail order drugs.

I'm buying for a little more expensive because i dont want to miss out. Dont have to get it for the perfect price.
