Do you tell your friend, when.....?

Telling someone something unpleasant is never easy. I try to weigh how much it bothers me vs how much speaking up would bother them. Like, if it's just a small annoyance to me but its something that would greatly upset the other person if they heard it, I won't say anything. If it's something that's really, really bothering me then chances are I'll speak up whether they like it or not and hope they care enough about me to hear me out. I feel sitting on such concerns is far more dangerous to the friendship than talking about it more times than not.

Would tell stuff to him/her: ~ Person or room stinks/messy - If person is bestfriend-ish (can (probably) only happen if they are mentally strong, so ...) and the remark is not a straight up insult. (The person generally doesn't realise it themselves and you just have to open a window or take a shower) ~ Insult to them told to me - Only if they are talking behind there back and my friend knows the person. Other stuff is just not important/interesting for me and them. ~ Ignorance bliss (Don't tell somebody something because it is better) - I try to tell it exactly how it is. I really hate it to not be told something. So I try to tell everything to everybody that needs/wants to know (unless it's a secret or other people's personal information). Would not tell stuff: - Things that don't really matter. - Insulting remarks that are core to there existents (when mad). The general rule I follow is: Tell them everything out flat, unless it's a delicate thing. If so tell it to them delicately, but always tell them.
