Would anyone date a much older 1st generation old school otaku?

Added to the fact that getting into this sort of fandom was probably way harder back then, people are just way more open about what they like nowadays. Makes it much easier for us folks to find people of our own cliques to hang out with.

Man, when I first started going to conventions, I met a lot of oldscool otaku, and you could certainly feel the shift between the generations as they started to grow in popularity and the demographics changed. As you said, seeing a girl at those events back in the day was just like an alien encounter. XD I guess now's a much better time for that sort of thing. I mean there are lots of girls in the market nowadays who want lots of different things.
