Who likes cosplaying?

Hello everyone! I'm new to cosplaying and I have an outfit for this years comic con. Do any cosplayers have any advice for new comers?

I new myself and only do it for fun, but I would say be confident in yourself and have fun :3 though I know it's easier to say than do xD

i like cosplaying, id say im still newish. i hve done 5 cosplays so far, working on my next one for my next con in may.

Me. I got super excited and happy for it at first but then doing cons alone dragged it down to now I don't really want to do it anymore.

i do, but have no money for it, nor would i put real money into it best cosplays are homemade and custom after all

I love making up my own characters, and even RPing them at conventions. (Like my current avi, who was a questing adventurer that took quests from random congoers.) But I don't really do characters from other mediums very often. I mean, its the same with forum RPing and D&D. I just can't play another person's characters. That being said, whether you make up your own OC or play your favorite character from something, both are valid, and the simple joy I get from interacting with my favorite characters and the people who dress as them should not be understated. Cosplayers are awesome.

While i can't provide much in the way of tips other than have fun with it, I can say it is quite a rewarding experience (at least it was for me) I just started this year!
