Not for me. I never doubted my faith and I learn a little each time I read the bible or talk to other Christians. I know some people have different beliefs so I don't expect everyone to understand or agree. But for me faith isn't base on doubt. It's based on a descion one makes for themselves.

We'll have to disagree then. From my end I've heard plenty of Christians, pastors, who have said it's perfectly natural to have doubts about your beliefs. Many who try to spread their belief are asking others to have doubts in their own beliefs to take on new ones, and so it's only fair that they do the same about their religious beliefs.

Im sure everyone has had doubts in their beliefs. Some just plain out dont believe in the god cuz they cant "see them" or blame worldly problems on the reason god cant be real. "If god were real why do innocent people die" god isnt some magical fairy being that does whatever you want him too. If that were the case wouldnt that make you the god? Cuz you have power over him not him over you. Life is full of hardships and stressors but if you believe AND actually open your eyes you can see he is real. There are times where i have asked for a sign and he made it clear as day. When i ask for guidance i get it, not on my time or whenever i would like it but at the moment when its the most beneficial.

Faith is faith because it isn't fact. Kids have faith in Santa, doesn't make him true. Faith is about a personal BELIEFE, not a factual "Here it is in my hands" fact. Let's look up the word faith, shall we? Words are fun.:) Definition of faith plural faiths play \ˈfāths, sometimes ˈfāt͟hz\ 1 a : allegiance to duty or a person : loyalty lost faith in the company's president b (1) : fidelity to one's promises (2) : sincerity of intentions acted in good faith 2 a (1) : belief and trust in and loyalty to God (2) : belief in the traditional doctrines of a religion b (1) : firm belief in something for which there is no proof clinging to the faith that her missing son would one day return (2) : complete trust 3 : something that is believed especially with strong conviction; especially : a system of religious beliefs the Protestant faith In other words, you don't know, you just believe. AKA, you have faith. And, if you don't know, doubts are quite natural. That's not to say doubt is the ruling factor, it's just part of the nature of things.

you are pretty much taking a word that MAN has created and who also believes in this so called "faith"? Then again people believe what they want im not here to push anything on anyone or say your going to hell for being a non-believer but this is how i see it and this is how i will continue seeing it. It works for me and i have evidence that may make a skeptic say "thats just coincidence" but its good enough imo

Did not Christ have his moment of doubt? His moment of weakness? Say no and I can show you verbatim where he did. Faith is what it is, belief in the unknown. If you've not questioned why you believe, I dare say you truly don't. Mind you, I'm not coming from a place of ignorance when I say these things. Also, this thread is weird in how it keeps evolving.XD

Yes i have doubted and have quickly been shown why i should have any doubts. which is why i said everyone believes what they want some people think god doesnt exist and whatnot cuz they didnt have any faith in the first place but obviously there has to be a reason why god is still relevant after so many years. Its not just blind belief

Just one more thing and I'll drop this little discussion. I most certainly DID have faith and absolutely hate when others preach this "If they don't believe now, they never did to begin with.". Saying that isn't even biblically correct, but it's a popular thing for believers to say that makes them feel better and less likely to question. Not blind belief? I wonder why "Faith the size of a mustard seed" was used? (Blah blah..Didnt quote the whole verse, but my point remains...blah.) I would never wish trip up another's belief. If your faith helps you in a positive manner in life, it's a good thing for you.

Imma drop the topic too tbh but yeah i am saying they never had faith in the first place or rather their belief had a weak foundation which made it easy to give up on believing altogether so yes it is essentially like not believing at all. Its not like santa clause bringing you gifts where you find out your parents were the ones doing it all along. There isnt actual evidence he isnt real so if you can give up on god while other people remain strong with their beliefs you didnt truly believe. Look at all the scientists of the world did they not believe in their work? Why are they successful? Cuz they never gave up and believed it was possible despite what everyone said But good on you dude whatever you feel is the right choice for your life is perfectly fine lol again i dont wanna push anything on anyone im just stating my own opinion infact i dont even claim a religion, im just a god fearing person with no affiliation to a specific church
