Well if you've been given the mission for Nerg, you should get a cutscene that unlocks that zone.

Its not showing me any tracks for nerg. I found some and now there is none to be found. Ive gone around the whole map 20x

I'm fairly certain you need to either go to Zone 9 or Zone 8 (where the big crystal formations are). EDIT: confident that you only need to go to zone 9
