Hobbies You Hide From People

Just like other people have mentioned, I hide the fact that I watch anime. Almost all my irl friends don’t watch anime and the few that do, don’t watch it to the extent that I do. I’ve never had someone to discuss my favorite anime with and it sucks that when I watch a really good anime I don’t have anyone to talk to about it or recommend it to. That’s one of he reasons I joined here; I hope I can find people to talk to about anime.

Character assessment and documentation of those around me used to be one I hid since others find it very creepy, but majoring in psychology people now react differently to finding out. It comes off as a lot less serial killer to analyze people when you're aiming to do it as a profession with aim to aid mental health. Other than that... Probably the one I don't talk about would be plate decorating. You know, in gourmet cooking where the plating is made to look elegant or cute? I do that as a hobby quite a lot.

Wouldn't admitting to a hobby I hide from people defeat the purpose of hiding it in the first place? Oh well. I guess one of them is doxxing/stalking -certain- people. I get stupidly paranoid that people I like are going to abandon me and it brings me serenity to know I'll always have ways of taking them down and contacting them again. With that said, I keep a lot of that info under wraps I'd never go out of my way to use it for malice.

Like a lot of people, I've seen no reason to hide any of my hobbies, since I'd only want to be friends with like-minded people who appreciate the same thing. There would be no point in being friends with someone who was vocal about thinking your hobbies are stupid - you just wouldn't get on. As for hentai, no one tells other people outside their friend group they like hentai. That's like normies sharing porn. It doesn't happen unless you're bros.
