Not to get too far off topic, but in the Spring Season last year, "Quan Zhi Gao Shou" (The Kings Avatar) This one I almost missed watching myself, as it's Chinese and the translation is a bit rough. Great anime though.

'Overlord II ' This one started really slow at the beginning of the season. The first episodes didn't really add to last season's plot. But the story from last season came back later on in the season, and it got more interesting. It also has one more episode left this season.

'3-gatsu no Lion' (March comes like a lion) Ooooh... such a great anime. This is a slice of life. It's not an action packed thriller, but damn it was a good heart warming story. And those 3 girls were adorable. Such great characters. The plot of this anime is about a boy professional Shogi player. His parents died, and the family that took him in is a mess, so he goes to live on his own. One night after a match he gets dragged along with the group to drink. And after getting him drunk, they leave him. One of the hostesses sees him and takes him home with her. That's were the story begins. The story continues to be about the two families that brought him into their lives for better or worse, and the professionals who he plays shogi with. Also, later there's an arch in story about school bullying that really tugged on my heart strings. They did such an amazing job of it, even down to the end. I never would have expected them to do that in the last episode. What a great way to end it. Slice of life stories aren't for everyone. And being about shogi, it had a few slow moments. But as far as stories go, this one was great from start to finish. So if a good story that will reach you heart is what your looking for. This one is definitely recommended.

'Overlord II' Ep. 13 I'm seriously disappointed in the anime. I get that he's in an undead monster body now, and also that has supposedly affected him mentally. And okay, he's detached and doesn't mind that humans are dying. But he just ordered the murders of a bunch of innocent people that were enslaved by his own minions for no reason. That's messed up so far beyond just being detached. There was no reason for him to order them to be killed. He could have just ordered them to be released. Or fake rescued them to further his fame as Momom? I get his character is kind of a villain, but most of the time he was playing a hero also. Now I can't seem him as anything more than a villain that needs to die. I feel like his character has lost all likeability. To me wrecking his character is a bad way to end the season. Now I could care less if the show continues on or not.

'Violet Evergarden' If you don't mind a slow romantic story, you may like this. All in all this was a pretty decent anime. There were quite a few very touching scenes. The ending... their comments felt a little forced and a little self serving for the plot. Even still it was a pretty good story... But wait, what was that at the very end? What was that look? I guess that's a better way for it to really end.

'Darling in the FranXX' Ep. 13 Just fyi, this anime is continuing into the Spring season. Still that 13th episode. What a plot twist. I'm looking forward to the next season. For those who haven't seen it. This a Mecha anime with a bit of romance and slice of life thrown in . I suppose you could compare it to Eureka Seven in a way. Two people, a girl and a boy are needed to pilot each Robot. And one of the girls isn't human. The plot itself and the adults are pretty twisted and screwed up. The kids to them are nothing more than tools and cannon fodder for piloting the robots. And the story revolves around their adolescent lives as they fight weird creatures for the sake of the adults.
