turning red is not a fucking metaphor for periods or puberty. if you actually watched the movie youd know that the movie addressed that she has ALSO started her period. how can it be a period metaphor if the movie addressed that she is actively going through her first period? the red panda is simply triggered by puberty, it is not a stand in for puberty. the red panda better symbolizes her first true act of rebellion, of self-expression, which is why she chooses to keep it in the end. because she wants to express herself and have the freedom that she previously was forbade.

Some say life is a test to see if we are worthy of Heaven or condemned to Hell. Others say life is a random sequence of chemical interactions without meaning. There are also those who say life is a dream we created to temper our souls. Regardless, life has challenges. One challenge is the cookie. It's baked sugary dough you can customize in many ways. It's not supposed to be healthy but we crave it. Something about our ancestors craving sweets due to their energy value and scarcity. Now we live in an abundance of sweet treats. The cookie is a favorite of many. They have a certain aura about them. You bite it and a soft to crunchy sensation of cooked dough topped with chocolate serenades your mouth. The symphony plays so well you can't resist having another. Yes, this is a challenge that feels so satisfying to break but later you feel the guilt. Why does the Great Creator tempt us in so many ways? Can I stay strong and steadfast? I'll just keep moving forward. https://c.tenor.com/K3T0Ym3eqfgAAAAC/vampire-time-anime.gif

I’m gonna vent on being a mixed person (specifically black/white/Native American but focusing more on the black and white). It’s so frustrating cause I feel like people tell you to “choose” who you are XD, like for example “what are you mixed with? I was looking at you and grew curious.” Me- “oh! That’s fine, I’m mixed black, white and Native American” and then it’s like when people find out they start to think/ask “well are you black or white?” And I’m just like why can’t I be both!? I am all the things I am mixed with even if it’s a little I’m all those things, why do I have to choose between claiming my black or white heritage? Because at the end of the day I am BOTH. Also I hate being called black/brown when I’m not... now I AM mixed with that but my skin is not brown I am tan and if I get dark it’s a VERY VERY dark tan but not mistaken for being brown lol. I get so annoyed when it happens because why do I need to choose? I love both and all sides to me and I’m happy with that ^^, thank you for coming to my TED talk

Nobody gets that choice. It's silly to expect certain people to have to make it later in life when they already have found roots in both of their parent's heritage. Part of me is Appalachian, so I'm a mix of a lot of people who were pushed into the hills, from natives to the Scotch Irish, and anyone else that turn of the century eugenics thought was undesirable. I can't even really keep track of the West Virginian side of my family. Now the Tulsa branch? They're easy. Irish, German, Welsh. With Appalachian, you just gotta kinda put racial culture aside and be like "Fuck it, I'm half hillbilly."
