People from different areas cook rice differently. Famous chefs cook rice differently. Jamie Oliver says its 1:1.50 and Gordon Ramsey says 1:1. You can cook it all the ways that was listed on page 214 [since apparently that's where I left off...] anyway if you are making risotto you don't wash the rice because the dusty exterior is starch and that will make the liquid creamy. If you want fluffy rice, wash thoroughly. I agitate my rice and wash it 4-6 times. If I'm making white rice that will be a bed like with stir fry or indian cuisine, I go for a 1:1.75 ratio. If it's a rice dish like jambalaya the ratio is 1:1.25 because all the meats and veggies are going to release more liquid. The ratio can also change depending on if you are steaming it, using a rice cooker or cooking it on the stove. These are just a few examples of how different cooking rice can be.

I built an ironman suit when i was younger (19?) out of pepakura, fiberglass and bondo. I designed a motor/LED controller circuit that that interfaced with an arduino and controlled the chest and hand ring lights, and helmet servos. I did the CAD work designing the helmet hing system and even put a POC on youtube. roughly 6 months of development and around $700 in materials and i didnt even end up wearing it to the con i built it for partiall because its a pain in the ass to put on but mostly because im a perfectionist and i wasnt fully satisfied. https://i.imgur.com/18EjqIk.jpg
