Kinda does remind me of the shrines now that you mention it lol. The artist's name is Zdzisław Beksiński. He made some very cool, surreal paintings. Seemed to be Dali inspired, a mix of the Surrealism blended with some H.P. Lovecraft Sci-fi. Pretty eager to check out the date stamps for some of these. I also found the repetition of hands interesting. Hands are like some of the most complicated things to draw. He seemed to have been experimenting and mastered it.

This is the last picture the cassini mission captured before it descended into saturn, truly one of the coolest space pictures ever.
