I think it might be a miscommunication like how people say the she of consent in Japan is 13.

Many Koreans seem to be like that, purposely making noises when eating to show appreciation of how delicious the food is or expressing that food is really tasty (maybe not burping). Even so, not every Koreans like making noises when eating either. Lots of S.Korean does from my experience but not everyone does making noises or like it. There is this mukbang youtuber that I love watching who lives in South Korea called "Banzz". I believe he takes consideration where not many like hearing those noises and limit the sounds he make while eating (He expresses how the food is through his expression, body language and verbally saying it). He also apologizes for scraping bowl noises when it comes out loud... Very considerate towards his viewer.
He eats like 5 to 6+ portion like Kinoshita Yuka san. He is also very thin and fit because he exercises like atleast 7hours a day... He has many international fans too!
Many Korean media I have watched also display the making noise behaviour which seems to be a cultural thing. I also heard slurping noodle is the same case for Japan too. I maybe wrong though.

I can read I Ching oracles XD! Everybody can explain those oracles as long as they are not illiterate (fluency in reading Chinese)https://wx3.sinaimg.cn/mw690/87d788b2gy1fz1f9f9xy9j208207iwgn.jpg
