Civil War Is Coming

I haven't paid attention to this topic for a day or two but let me get this straight. We went from discussion about antifa organizing riots and the possibility of civil war in America to arguing over which news sources are legitimate and which are just propaganda to talking about terrorists and refugees in Europe? Stuff like this is exactly why discussions about politics never work and just become an endless chain of people trying to prove that the last person's views are wrong.

Very true about statistics @Fox Queen. It’s like when I read treatment guidelines or when I write research for publication, you have to be clear on the all the details of your sample size like geographic locations, socioeconomic classes, etc, since it might not be appropriate to recommend on like a broad scale. And It can’t be stated enough that correlation is NOT causation. Most statistics only measure correlation, it’s really just there for you to come up with a hypothesis to study that might be able to establish a causal relationship.

@Fox Queen Oh I see where you're coming from, I personally hate being told as a black man what's wrong with "my" community by short-sighted outsiders who probably have never interacted with black people in their lives and only see and hear what they want. I was just saying that political discussions are always shit. Everyone always seem to have the answers for the sum of human suffering and won't relent from their position to the point that the 'discussion' ultimately becomes of matter of proving each other wrong, maybe with some ad hominem attacks thrown in between. It's pathetic.

Ehh, the answer changes depending on who you ask. Some people say it's young black men not wanting to live 'properly' dealing drugs, going in and out of jail etc, some say it's poverty and poor influences growing up, some say it's poor parenting or a lack of parenting at all, and some say it's because of this country being inherently racist. I think the problems in the black community are something that's very deep seeded at this point and can't be identified as just one simple issue that needs to be solved.

Really, we should have already accepted that he was going to dismiss every fact he dislikes. I mean... He's unironically a Communist and genuinely supports it. They legitimately despise our Constitution and our Bill of Rights. For most of the younger crowd though it's an ideology built on naivety. They take the assumption that everyone wants and will be good and work together. They always fail to see that Communism makes way for Authoritarianism. They believe they'll be the ones living the good life after their "glorious revolution". The harsh truth they haven't processed yet is that the first people their Communist Overlords will be putting against the wall for the firing squad will be them. However this isn't all Communism. This is actually the simple and naive version, there's another more terrifying version of Communism. If you want to know more look up and read into, "Rules for Radicals" by Saul Alinsky. You'll immediately see the parallels between Alinsky's plans and the current political left.
