Lamby made a really good point.
I try to go out of my way sometimes to welcome new females to the site and point out that this is more than a dating site, hoping to get them to stick around and join the discussions.
Looking at some of the first posts on these girls walls, I can't help but cringe. If you're new to a dating site, and you get ambushed by someone being a troll the first few days you're here. You're not going to stick around long.
There are plenty of girls coming to the site. So guys, you really have to ask yourselves, "why are they leaving?" BurningHalo posted a great analogy today.

You can be PC and say don't judge. But first impressions matter.

@yaas I only read the first page of posts and I'm saying "y'all" referencing those who got really critical on her blunt thoughts. Not everyone has to agree but geez I cringed reading the replies. Just wanted to make a point that it's ironic how quickly people dismissed/disrespected the first female to respond to the topic question, and still wonder why there's a "lack" of girls.

Oh and also so this thread won't be just pointless drama, just friend and message people. Almost every friend request and message I've sent has been replied too. So just make an effort to try to start conversation

@sensei: Wow that analogy is really spot-on. Great reference!
@star: Yep! I totally agree. To piggyback, post a greeting on a person's wall before you request to friend and just that small act of friendliness makes you stand out. ^^

I've come to realize that the only reason why I signed up for this site was because i was desperate, lonely and believe or not, thirsty. I've been on tinder, okc, east meets east, bumble etc. and I have met a good amount of girls on each of them. I'll talk to them, first with excitement that they have the same interests as me. But that alone doesn't create that "spark", or they just dont nterest me, or it just didn't work out. That's why I've slowly stopped talking to them. It was a process of moving from one to another. If you want my opinion, online dating is a hit or miss. Most people give up before they find anything special. I'm not saying that's it's impossible, because there are success stories out there. But man do I gotta say......this online dating shit is wack lol. I only come here to as like a secondary FB.

@Cerealia @Fox:
I'm just gonna say this once so everyone can get this out of of their thoughts right now, I may be single and not dating anyone right now very moment but I'm not so thirsty that I am begging for a relationship. I've been in a few relationships and as you can see I have not been successful.... sometimes it was my fault sometimes and sometimes it wasn't but the fact is I keep moving and not killing my self over it. I get depressed and I get sad too but I will keep moving forward to try to do better.
I ask questions and try to not make mistakes like others have before me!
I have to ablitiy to be passion but just because I'm active doesn't mean I am not passionate. I have no problem being single just like I have no problem being honest. As I am one of a kind.

Just so you know females care alot less about physical appearance than males. That doesn't mean that they don't care.
But yeah women tend to get ALOT more attention than women do on any site honesty. That also means they'll get alot more people that they find undesirable.
@op
But you have to understand it's a numbers game. You have to be patient.
Look at it this way. First someone has to be born a female 50% chance 7bill/2 =3.5 bill. Then they have to speak english 1/5. That's 700million. They have to like anime, have to have miraculously found this site. Amount of members/ 2.
They still have to be active. At the same time you were. Now they somehow must have stumbled on to your account /post. Now you must somehow interest them in someway so they talk to you.
Then it goes on to, you have to both be able to adequately converse. Have things in common, be in good spirits, even the time of day might affect if you two will leave a good impression, then it is down to, do you like her, does she like you?
You have to go through all that. And tbh most likely they won't love near you, and you won't up with a viable relationship. I know it sounds a little sad, but realistically nothing will come from this site. But trying somthing improves your chances over doing nothing.
You have a better chance meeting a otaku gf or whatever in person. It's much easier imo.

I only ask for consideration.
It's normal for one side to think the other has it easier. Recognizing that fact is what I call consideration. We live in this gigantic world with 7+ Billion people, with only one single tiny perspective. Of course we're going to make mistakes. Maybe even a large majority of the population will make the exact same mistake. Men make mistakes that men make. Women make mistakes that women make. Overall humans make mistakes that humans make.
An arbitrarily decided statistic, 90% of the rules, socially speaking, put us all in boxes and tell us ways to act, but not all of the information always gets communicated in its entirety. I can speak best from the perspective as a man, so that's the example I'll pull from:
"Grow some balls and actually talk to the girls." Things like this are told to men, likely across the world, and I'm sure most of us men would see this particular statement as saying "it is your responsibility as a man to initiate a relationship". Whether your agree or disagree with this particular role of men socially, it simply stands that this particular idea is communicated to a majority of the men, but that's where it stops. No master of dating told them when exactly they should be pushy or not, or what looks like desperate behavior. In reality I think everyone in the world has slightly different expectations of what a man should do.
And the thing is I'm sure many of this could apply in reverse, on the crazy roles women perceive they have or are expected to have. I debated trying to push back the flames when people got a little aggressive about it, but from my perspective they simply said what they believed was right, which complicated which side I should be on overall. As a man, I'm more likely to understand the feelings of males, or at least I like to think so, and to me, the majority of males here simply reacted in a way as if someone told them that they needed to adhere to a strict idea of where males belong in society. I do think they could have put in effort to further their consideration, but I also think that they were provoked, and so the lack of consideration on both sides is not what I would find equal.
