Is this even a dating site?

which begs the question. Didn't most people that signed up came in with that mindset? What happened to the drive the moment you pressed that confirm email? I've been to gaiaonline. I know a forum thats full of thirst and hormones.

It's basically Facebook for anime nerds. But the dating edge is still there - there are people looking for the right girl/guy for them and finding someone with common interests through a site like this is probably their best bet. Nonetheless, I enjoy my time here whether I'm single or taken.

I came here originally to find a potential partner, things didn't work out and I couldn't be happier that they didn't. This site, to me, is just a place to chill and get into mindless banter. I'm staying out of habit and for the few friends I've made. I'm now married, but as I said, this site isn't primarily set up in such a way that dating is the main focus. I feel like that's the general consensus, too.

Why would anyone's think this is a dating site? It's website is for anime geeks like me I'm not interested in dating someone, unless they are kind and protective, so yeah but I'm still not intrested in dating I won't mind being friends with at person and getting to know them but I wouldn't wanna start a relationship yet.

Sometimes a site's primary focus gets off-railed by the people who inhabit it. Take a casual game like Smash Bros which has a competitive scene by accident.
