Why Did You Join MaiOtaku?

@fox There's a lot of good people on MO that I can talk to and relate to about things that I can't with my IRL friends. I can let my inner otaku out and not have to worry, along with other personal stuff I can't really talk about with my friends. Also, there's also quite a few cute dudes and chicks, and you can never have enough of those ;3 huehuehue

Oh, I know. I'm married now, but when I was looking, this place was almost always a dead zone, with a few exceptions. It's not bad for small one on one interactions with others of simular interest. But, dating? Yeah, don't hedge a bet on it.

I think of leaving but everyone is very genuine and I don't feel the need to fake my personality here... plus good memes!

I joined to find partners to learn Japanese from & with, but also to meet a nerdy girl :) I've met a couple of interesting girls that are interested in me, but nothing has ever progressed to serious *thumbs down* As for learning Japanese... People only want to charge fees so I've had zero luck *2 thumbs down*

I joined to make friends. Perhaps to meet people that have been collecting anime since the early 90s & before (before the sailormoon/dbz craze) before 1994 :)

First reason: Find people to go on date with. Second reason: Recently, I moved to other country and now I'm a little bit lonely. New friends are always great.

The reason why I am stil here is because there are some fun people here. But most of the time I chat with them now outside this site. So I only occasionally check if stuff happens here. Mostly to see if there are new developments I want to be a part of. But what I want now the most is finding new friend groups to increase my chance at finding someone special. Since I am not really into dating with randoms. I figured having a bigger friend circle will allow me to meet more people. Because just staying at home or in your own safe zone doesn't give rise to new opportunities. And even if nothing happens I will now have more friends I like.
