Animefan - take the quiz and I may be able to help with that
I have the same problem though and it really depends if you have an issue you are passionate about. For me its guns and law which I mostly side conservative on which has made me default republican. Im by no means opposed to a Democrat but for me a Dem Presidential candidate must be pro gun / leave 2A alone. Our laws by their nature are a pretty conservative ideology and to me a (socially) conservative leaning court (key word leaning) is more condusive to a powerful but checked and balanced Court.
Elecktrick - still challenging you ;)

I figure I'd see a lot of lower left quadrants I mean I'm not terribly far off of it myself.
Retook it again for the lols... I dunno how I managed this but...
Economic Left/Right: -6.13
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: 0.0 (I'm apparently closer to a centrist in some ways than I thought)

As far as some individual issues I'm....
(very!) Pro Second Amendment (shocker I know) - DO NOT INFRINGE (there are a *few* gun control measures I do support but they are being pushed with other measures which are just asinine causing me and many others to reject any measures)
Pro Death Penalty
Pro Choice (although I would support federally de-funding **just the** abortion parts of PP have the abortions be financially separate operation than the rest of PP.... compromise with the Pro life crowd)
I'm closer to a strict reader of the Constitution (living document interpretation IMO isn't totally invalid but should be used VERY sparingly and carefully)
I'd be okay with legal recreational marijuana
I'm not for bathrooms being free for alls (this isn't some discrimination thing - use the bathroom that corresponds to your physical anatomy)
I would really like to see our education be more geared toward "real life topics" (less graph a polynomial function and more law and civics)
As much as I love our Military and Veterans we do not need to be spending 50% of our budget on warfare (at least lower it incrementally some?)
Pro minimum wage hike (maybe not to 15 but 11-12 anyway)
I believe that while many things in Capitalist America should be accessible more or less based on earning power and income, healthcare isn't one of them. I would be pro (legitimate) universal healthcare
Pro strict borders and immigration (even pro building the wall if funding wouldn't be an impediment on anything else in particular) and that being careful who we let in isn't "racist" or "Islamophobic"
